Chef Daniel Boulud

Daniel Boulud, born in Lyon (France), has lived in New York since 1982 and is considered one of America's leading culinary authorities and one of the city's most renowned chefs. He is known for his restaurant Daniel, on Manhattan's Upper East Side, and has developed his cuisine and expanded his activity across the United States, as well as Toronto, Montreal, the Bahamas, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and Riyadh. His culinary approach remains contemporary while staying true to French tradition and his career as a chef in New York.

The space at One Vanderbilt

The restaurant occupies a space designed by Isay Weinfeld that combines lush gardens and tall olive trees integrated into the dining room, with soaring ceilings, and seeks to evoke a sense of natural splendor and serenity. The entrance is at One Vanderbilt Plaza, on the north side of 42nd Street.

Le Pavillon offers special dining experiences, whose schedule can be found on its website. It also has elegant spaces for private events, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations, with options for different group sizes and menus and wine offerings adaptable to each occasion.

Service and hours

The restaurant serves lunch Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and dinner Monday to Saturday, 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The bar and lounge opens Monday to Friday 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM and Saturdays 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Business casual attire is recommended; athletic or leisure wear is not permitted, nor are shorts or sandals for gentlemen in the dining room. Baby strollers are also not allowed in the restaurant.
