About La Brujería Jersey City

Regional fillings after the ordinary dinner hour

Roberto Islas launched La Brujería in December 2020 as a takeout-and-delivery kitchen on Grand Street. He and chef Santos Xochiua developed a menu anchored in Mexican regional cooking. In January 2024, the business moved to 200 Summit Avenue, gaining indoor seating and a burger section while retaining the late-night kitchen.

Tacos La Bruja arrive three to an order with one filling. Diners choose soft corn, flour or crunchy tortillas, then onion and cilantro or an American-style finish of lettuce, tomato and cheese. Cochinita pibil is braised pulled pork; suadero is listed as beef brisket; lengua, pork-belly chicharrón and pastor expand the meats. Breaded cauliflower, potato with jalapeño and avocado with cheese give non-meat eaters specific preparations.

The quesabirria combines lamb and beef inside crunchy red tortillas with Oaxaca cheese, onion and cilantro, with consommé alongside. That blend also appears in the birria broth with chickpeas. Handmade sopes carry beans, lettuce, cream, fresh cheese and avocado; gorditas enclose the filling. A Mexican quesadilla is served open-faced on a homemade corn tortilla, unlike the flour format elsewhere on the menu.

Summit Avenue and overnight service

Call 201-267-6760. The restaurant advertises 24/7 service, with a separate early menu from 5:30–6:30 a.m.; Toast describes the main schedule as 23/7. Use the available ordering slot for that early transition. Both pickup and delivery run through the linked checkout.

Grand Street is the former address. The location page also lists related Mezcal Kitchen businesses; those have different names and menus and are not additional La Brujería counters. Summit Avenue is the address for the dishes described here.
