A.Wong is a contemporary Chinese restaurant located where the neighbourhoods of London's Victoria and Pimlico meet, a minute's walk from Victoria's underground, train and bus stations. The establishment is home to the cuisine of Chef Andrew Wong, who has accumulated several awards and two Michelin stars.

Andrew Wong took the helm in 2012, succeeding his parents. Since then he has combined traditional dishes passed down through generations with meticulous research into ancient recipes and techniques. The result is a distinctly A.Wong style that contemporarily and artistically reinterprets the wealth and diversity of China's food culture.

Andrew Wong is a chef, anthropologist and cultural observer. British-born of Chinese heritage, his environment and academic background have had an equal impact on his cooking, which combines tradition, authenticity and craftsmanship with an eye to the future. In 2012 he opened A.Wong with his wife Nathalie; the initial in the name pays homage to his parents, Albert and Annie.

Ingredients and culinary approach

The restaurant works with a selection of Chinese and British produce and ingredients. Its dishes celebrate China's gastronomic heritage and the variety of flavours found within the country's fourteen international borders, with interpretations that traverse its vast food culture.

Temporary residency at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair

From 18th August to 26th September 2026, A.Wong will move its dining experience to the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, at 22 Hanover Square, London W1S 1JP, where it will serve its two Michelin-starred menu exclusively each evening. During this period, the Pimlico restaurant will be temporarily closed while it is being refreshed. The return to A.Wong, Pimlico, is scheduled for 29th September 2026.
