Consular Section, Embassy of Japan in Ukraine

The Embassy continues to publish an address and contact channels in Kyiv, but its current homepage says routine consular procedures are not available there. It does not issue or renew passports or provide certificates; published general hours elsewhere do not change that restriction.

Japanese visa intake is also limited: the mission lists only short-stay applications for business or visits to relatives. Before preparing documents or travelling, email ryouji@kv.mofa.go.jp to confirm eligibility, appointment and the office that can handle the case. Consular telephone: +380 44 490 5501.

The institutional address is 34B Velyka Zhytomyrska Street, Kyiv 04053. Japan’s Level 4 advisory covers the whole country and says not to travel. We do not present map comments as service experience because we could not verify an exact current listing matching the published operating conditions.
