About R-HAAN
R-HAAN, two-Michelin-star Thai fine dining in Bangkok
R-HAAN is a Thai fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Bangkok. Its approach is built around what the house calls the "Wisdom of Thai Cuisine": traditional recipes and royal Thai cuisine presented through flavors that seek to engage all five senses and the eight dimensions of taste. The restaurant was founded by Khun Piti Bhirombhakdi and Chef Chumpol Jangprai, who serves as head of the kitchen.
Seasonal menus and Thai produce
The kitchen starts with indigenous ingredients and herbs selected from different regions of Thailand. Chef Chumpol Jangprai composes each dish with precision and respect for tradition, and every preparation begins with the aroma of hand-pounded curry pastes. The menu is organized into three seasonal menus: the Summer Samrub, the Rainy Samrub, and the Winter Samrub. Each is conceived as a narrative that conveys Thai stories, wisdom, and beauty.
The ceramic tableware, hand-painted by artisans and inspired by the beauty of the royal palaces, is part of the presentation of each dish.
Awards and track record
R-HAAN has received two Michelin stars in the Michelin Guide Thailand consecutively between 2020 and 2026, according to the company's own information, which presents itself as the first Thai restaurant to retain that title for seven consecutive years. Previously, it earned one Michelin star in 2018-2019, and the second came in 2020.
Among other recognitions, the house cites the Editors' Choices award in the fine dining category at the HELLO! Taste Awards 2025, its inclusion in Thailand Tatler Best Restaurants 2019 as one of the twenty best restaurants in Bangkok, and the Best Thai Food Restaurant Award 2019, presented by Bangkok Best Dining & Entertainment magazine.
Private dining room and events
The restaurant has a private dining room for celebrations or business gatherings, with capacity for between 8 and 12 guests. The company notes that, due to limited availability, it is advisable to book at least seven days in advance. For private events, the team can compose a Thai menu tailored to the theme of the gathering and assist with floral arrangements or other special elements. Booking requires indicating in advance the number of guests, the preferred menu format, and the theme of the event.
Service, atmosphere, and house rules
The service is presented as a reflection of Thai hospitality, with attention to detail from the moment the guest arrives. The space combines contemporary refinement with elements of applied Thai architecture. The house requests a smart casual dress code and asks guests to avoid sportswear, shorts, sleeveless shirts, and sandals. For those who arrive without a reservation, there is a bar area where drinks can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere, although the full royal Thai menu experience requires a reservation. The restaurant also offers parking and valet parking service; since spaces are limited, the company notes that advance booking can be requested during the reservation process.

Dinner service is offered every day from 18:00 to 23:00. The reservations line is available from 10:30 to 23:00. Reservations can be made by phone or through the online form on the website.
