About Nusara
Nusara, contemporary Thai cuisine in Bangkok
Nusara is a high-end Thai fine dining restaurant located in the Phra Nakhon district of Bangkok. It opened in 2020 and its name honors the grandmother of Chef Thitid "Ton" Tassanakajohn and his brother Tam, who created it as a memorial to honor the woman who raised them and passed on to them a love of good food. According to its founders, the project was born out of love for her and for Thai cuisine.
A singular culinary proposal
Chef Ton describes Nusara's cuisine as "Colorful Thai Cuisine." It is not presented as traditional or modern, but as a unique proposal that seeks to represent the character of his grandmother—old but joyful—and the area of Ta Tien, where modernity and history coexist. The experience begins with several playful bites and progresses to main courses served in Nusara's characteristic family style.
Chef Thitid "Ton" Tassanakajohn
Thitid "Ton" Tassanakajohn is the executive chef and owner of Nusara and other establishments such as Le Du, Baan, and Mayrai. He grew up surrounded by home-cooked meals and attributes much of his passion for cooking to his mother and grandmother. During his time in New York, he worked at several Michelin-starred restaurants, including Eleven Madison Park, The Modern, and Jean Georges. He is also a Certified Sommelier (CS) from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
