About Saddle Madrid

Saddle Madrid, Michelin-starred seasonal cuisine in central Madrid

Saddle Madrid is a restaurant and bar located in the capital of Spain, awarded with a Michelin star and two Repsol Soles. It opened its doors with the declared aim of becoming a contemporary classic of Madrid dining. It occupies the former premises of the historic restaurant "Jockey", from which it rescued part of its legacy.

Two floors and five differentiated spaces

The venue is spread over two floors. On the ground floor there is the bar, centred on the cocktail bar, and the main room of the restaurant. The top floor is occupied entirely by five private rooms, reached by stairs or elevator that guarantee privacy. The company points out that it is the only restaurant in Madrid with an entire floor dedicated to independent private rooms, accommodating for groups of 2 to 20 people.

An à la carte menu with classic roots

Saddle’s culinary proposal is based on respect for seasonal produce and their producers, and on the combination of classical and contemporary techniques. The restaurant recovers classic recipes and nods to the nouvelle cuisine and great chefs of yesteryear. Faced with the tendency of the great Spanish restaurants since the 2000s toward the tasting menu, Saddle commits to à la carte dining: the customer can compose his own menu of 4 or 5 courses by choosing half portions. The menu is updated once or twice per season and always includes off-menu dishes to take advantage of the product at its best.

Saddle Bar: cocktails and spirits

The Saddle Bar is an informal but sophisticated space that combines tradition and modern techniques around hospitality. Its cocktail menu evolves throughout the year with reinterpreted classics and a philosophy of "less is more", prioritizing the flavor. The bar has one of the most extensive spirits selections in central Spain, according to the company itself, and includes specialty coffees and teas. No prior reservation is required.

Private dining and events

The five rooms on the top floor are designed for lunches, dinners, presentations or meetings that require exclusivity. The restaurant offers specific menus for groups and has a contact email for events. It also sells Saddle experiences as a gift and a "Saddle at Home" service.
