Romanian passport holders may use the short-stay visa exemption for up to 90 days of non-remunerated temporary-visitor activities. For many long-stay categories, a host applies for the Certificate of Eligibility with Japan’s immigration authority. The Embassy does not translate documents; it directs applicants to authorised translators in Romania for Japanese-to-Romanian work.
To make a visit worthwhile, confirm the exact file and appointment process by phone or email; general information may not resolve a case-specific requirement. Check holiday closures and, for a certificate, ask the receiving authority what wording it requires. Google Maps metrics are not recorded because a rating and review volume could not be attributed confidently to the exact America House listing.
