Study at Pensacola State College: admission, tuition, aid and campuses

Admission, 2026–27 tuition, scholarships, programs and eight Pensacola State College locations.

Before applying to Pensacola State College, identify the address that matches your program. The institution’s current directory lists a broad main campus, a health-sciences hub, community learning centers and specialized workforce facilities across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The Pensacola Campus is the widest starting point for general admissions and student services; Warrington concentrates health programs, while Milton combines academic support, technical classrooms and recreation.

Admission: the first steps

PSC describes its admission as open enrollment, but students seeking a degree generally need a high-school diploma or GED. Some health and career programs have separate selection criteria and prerequisites. A first-time applicant completes the online form, sends official school records and prior college transcripts where required, submits ACT, SAT or PERT placement information when applicable, completes Pirate Path orientation, meets an adviser, registers and pays. International, transfer, veteran, dual-enrollment and non-degree students have different checklists. Follow the college’s first-time application steps and confirm which category fits before submitting documents.

Programs, credits and time

The current program finder lists more than 100 pathways and 173 program results, including associate and bachelor’s degrees, advanced technical and college-credit certificates, vocational certificates and diplomas. Each listing gives its own credits or clock hours and a typical full-time completion time. A 60-credit associate program commonly spans four or five semesters depending on its sequence; short certificates may take one or two, while vocational clock-hour programs use a different schedule. The Sandy Sansing center, for example, teaches Commercial Vehicle Driving in a 320-clock-hour certificate. Always check the individual plan for prerequisites, clinical or lab hours, selection steps and the location of each class.

2026–27 tuition and aid

Published 2026–27 tuition for Florida residents is $104.58 per credit in AA/AS and several college-preparation or certificate courses; the listed non-Florida rate is $419.76. Bachelor-level credit costs $120.89 for Florida residents and $486.49 for non-Florida residents. Vocational courses are listed at $85.74 and $342.96 per credit, respectively, with some programs billed by contact hour. A 12-credit AA/AS schedule therefore starts at $1,254.96 for a Florida resident or $5,037.12 for a non-Florida resident before books, labs and other expenses. Online courses add $12 per credit and some labs carry separate fees. Eligible Alabama residents may qualify for a reduced rate with required proof. These are tuition rates rather than a complete budget; consult the college’s cost-of-attendance estimates and the current residency rules.

PSC’s FAFSA code is 001513. Students can explore federal grants, work-study, veterans’ benefits, payment plans and college or donor scholarships. The college advertises nearly 300 scholarships and asks for one application each academic year after a student ID is issued; FAFSA is also required for need-based awards. Funding is limited. The priority date currently published for Spring 2027 is November 1, 2026. Submit early and check the conditions for each award.

English support and choosing a location

The admissions site provides a separate GED and ESOL student route. Because schedules and eligibility may change, ask PSC admissions for the current English-learning class locations, dates and costs; older catalogs are not a safe guide to this year’s offering. For credit classes, ask whether your placement results require developmental education and whether an English course meets your program’s prerequisites. The online course finder lets students filter by term and campus and distinguishes in-person, hybrid, asynchronous online and live-online study.

The Milton Campus map identifies library and computer labs, advising, testing, science labs, cosmetology, welding and the Johnson L.I.F.E. Center gym. South Santa Rosa offers classrooms and science labs, with local testing and admissions contacts; Century Center serves northern Escambia County. Downtown Center remains on the current directory and has a map with parking and accessible spaces, although PSC publishes less detail about services there. The Airframe and Powerplant facility is inside an industry-partner hangar, so confirm entry and parking before visiting. The college opened in 1948 as Pensacola Junior College with 136 students in a downtown boarding house. Its present-day reach is wide, but the best next step is concrete: verify the admission track, program requirements, class location and bill for your own term before enrolling.

Bottom line

Check current details and choose according to your budget, time and way of travelling.
