The current office is at Rua Ramalho Ortigão 51, sixth floor. Consular visits require an appointment. Use +351 21 311 0560 or consular@lb.mofa.go.jp to clarify the correct category and papers. The honorary consul in Porto does not accept passport, certificate or visa applications, an important distinction for anyone planning a trip from another part of Portugal.

Listed procedures include new and renewed passports; travel documents after loss; residence, birth, marriage and signature certificates; family and nationality matters; ORR Net; overseas voting; driving-licence procedures; safety information; and Japanese visas. Visa applicants must appear in person, and applications by post or through agencies are not accepted. We could not reliably isolate a Google listing and reviews for the current address, so we do not attribute another location’s score or comments.
