About Flocons de Sel

Flocons de Sel: A Five-Star Hotel and Three-Michelin-Star Restaurant in Megève

Flocons de Sel is a Relais & Châteaux property in Megève, in the French department of Haute-Savoie. Run by Kristine and Emmanuel Renaut, it combines five-star lodging, fine dining, and a mountain spa. The hotel sits high on Route du Leutaz in the Rochebrune massif and has ten accommodations in total, including rooms, suites, and mazots—traditional Alpine cabins.

Emmanuel Renaut’s Fine-Dining Restaurant

The restaurant is chef Emmanuel Renaut’s flagship dining room. He has earned three Michelin stars and the title Meilleur Ouvrier de France. His cooking has a distinctive voice and a close connection to Alpine terroir, from lakes to mountain peaks. The restaurant presents itself as a mountain table in conversation with the natural world.

Hotel guests are guaranteed a table at the gastronomic restaurant when they book a room. Dinner is served Thursday through Monday, and lunch is also available Sunday. On Tuesdays, guests can dine from a lounge menu on the terrace, in the lounges, or in their room. On Wednesdays, service is available at the hotel or at Le Prieuré in downtown Megève.

Accommodations: Rooms, Suites, Mazots, and Chalets

The hotel’s ten rooms, suites, and mazots overlook the peaks and are decorated with soft materials, wood, and design details. The hospitality is described as warm and sincere, like a family mountain home. Pets are welcome.

Flocons de Sel also offers two other lodging options. Chalet des Allobroges is a five-minute walk from Megève village and the Chamois gondola, which ascends to La Caboche. It has four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a south-facing living room, and velvet furnishings. The Village Apartment is a 75-square-meter, two-level residence in central Megève, near shopping streets and village activities; it has two bedrooms, a living room, and a wood-burning stove.

Mountain Spa and Wellness

The spa sits at an elevation of 1,300 meters and centers its offerings on water and the benefits of plants. Services include relaxing or energizing treatments, beauty rituals, and massages. Facilities include a heated indoor pool, a Swedish bath on the terrace, and a sauna.

Le Prieuré Restaurant in Central Megève

The group also operates Le Prieuré in central Megève. It serves lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday and is closed Monday and Tuesday. The address is 116 Place de l'Église, Megève.

Opening Calendar and Seasons

The hotel and spa are open daily. The fine-dining restaurant closes weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The website listed November 2 as the end of the summer season and December 4, 2026, as the start of the winter season.
