Consular Section, Embassy of Japan in Denmark

The Embassy of Japan in Copenhagen handles consular matters for Japanese nationals in Denmark and Japanese visa applications assigned to residents there. Its district also includes the Faroe Islands and Greenland. This is not a separate consulate-general: the public counter is inside the Embassy on the ninth floor of Havneholmen 25.

About Consular Section, Embassy of Japan in Denmark

The Copenhagen Consular Section assists Japanese residents with passports, certificates, residence notifications, family-register matters and overseas voting, and it also processes Japanese visa applications. Its district includes Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Unlike appointment-only counters in Helsinki or Lisbon, the Embassy says ordinary consular services do not require a booking.

The office is on floor nine at Havneholmen 25, about a five-minute walk from Dybbølsbro station. Visitors use the entrance intercom to request access. Counter hours are weekdays, 9:00 a.m.–noon and 1:30–4:00 p.m. Visa applications require personal attendance and printed papers; check the category-specific checklist for photo, travel-purpose and supporting documents.

Google-derived public comments include visitors who found the visa instructions and document-submission process useful. Individual experiences should not replace the current checklist. The Embassy lists Mikio Mori as Ambassador; we did not find an official name for the head of its Consular Section.
