About Boškinac

Boškinac: Hotel, Restaurant, and Winery on Pag Island

Boškinac is a family-run hotel, dining, and wine estate on Pag Island, between Novalja and Stara Novalja, above the Novalja fields. In its own presentation, the project grows from a connection to stone, salt, and wine. It brings together three areas: accommodations, a restaurant, and a winery with its own vineyards and cellars.

Accommodations: Eight Rooms and Three Suites

The hotel has eight spacious rooms and three suites, each individually designed and collectively conceived as a reflection of the island setting. They are furnished with selected materials and handcrafted furniture, in a style the company associates with timeless elegance.

Amenities include a work area and sitting area, minibar, safe, satellite television, wireless internet, air conditioning, a bathroom with two sinks and a whirlpool tub, and a hair dryer. The suites have two bathrooms.

Restaurant: Island Cuisine with Michelin Recognition

The restaurant has a total capacity of 60 guests and works with seasonal local ingredients: prawns, Pag lamb, cheese, fresh cheese, fish, aromatic herbs, honey, and olive oil. Its kitchen reinterprets the island’s traditional specialties with a modern, creative approach.

The property says it has held a Michelin star since 2020. The offering is complemented by its own wines and a broad selection of international wines.

Winery and Vineyards

The winery produces wines and spirits from vineyards cultivated for generations. The company attributes the character of its wines to Pag’s mineral-rich soil, the south wind, and the scent of salt, and connects this work to the legacy of its grandfather Boškinc. The winery offers vineyard and cellar visits, tastings, and gift packages.

Setting, Amenities, and Activities

The estate is surrounded by olive and pine trees, away from the bustle of town. Several terraces sit in front of the hotel among greenery and Mediterranean flowers, with a pool and canopied loungers. The area lends itself to walks and bike rides around the island, visits to vineyards and pine forests, and trips to archaeological sites and towns.

The company also hosts weddings and has a section on its website for offers and news. The hosts are Mirela and Boris Šuljić.

Company Information and European Funding

The website’s corporate information identifies CISSA d.o.o., with a registered address at Škopaljska ulica 30, 53291 Novalja, and OIB 47128897883. The project is listed as the final recipient of a financial instrument co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the “Competitiveness and Cohesion” Operational Program.
