About La Super Birria Santa Ana
From a candy counter to a birria kitchen
La Super Birria began inside Edgar Navarrete’s candy shop on First Street. Food gradually displaced the sweets, turning the address into a birrieria. Reporting on its beginnings links the family to Sahuayo, Michoacán, and identifies beef birria as the dish around which the kitchen grew.
The most revealing order compares formats. Birria Tour brings together different tacos and consomé, allowing the diner to move between a red tortilla, a crisper dorado and the cheese-filled preparation. Quesabirria adds melted cheese to the beef; a bowl of birria keeps meat and broth together as a meal with tortillas. The same cooking therefore becomes either a soup, a folded taco or a cheese-rich plate.
The current merchant menu lists Dorado Plate, QuesaTaco Plate and Classica Plate alongside Birriamen and Pizzirria. Family packs, meat by the pound and Taco Cake are separate group-order formats. They should be considered by portion and included accompaniments rather than treated as interchangeable names for one taco meal. Consomé is also available separately.
The original Santa Ana address
Find it at 1041 West 1st Street; 657-245-3810. Current ordering information begins at 9 a.m. daily. Published closing times differ between the marketplace and local directories, particularly on Friday and Saturday; the delivery system also stops accepting orders before the latest advertised dining hours. This profile does not extend one platform’s cutoff into a guaranteed restaurant closing time.
DoorDash offers pickup and delivery from First Street. Its public menu marks Birria Tour as a leading order, giving a concrete starting point for someone trying the business for the first time. Orange and Stanton appear as additional area branches in the delivery network; their operation should be read from their own listings, since older reviews reported temporary remodeling closures. The phone above is the Santa Ana restaurant contact, not a dedicated delivery line.
