About Metro Career Center
Metro Career Center sits along Imperial Avenue and serves as an entry point to San Diego County’s workforce network. The location offers job-search resources, guidance and a way to begin an application; partners in the same building provide separate services, including EDD, Job Corps and community organisations. Basic job-search help is available at no cost to county residents aged 16 and over, while training or other programmes may require an eligibility review.
Visitors’ accounts do not describe one uniform experience. A recent review praises the range of employment and education resources and says the visitor could drop in to ask questions. Another person describes an unpleasant interaction when asking whether they could accompany their partner to a guidance appointment. The centre’s own page, meanwhile, advises people to prepare for an eligibility appointment and explains that services depend on the programme. Several organisations work in the building, so a comment about unemployment insurance or another partner does not, by itself, show how a job-guidance enquiry was handled.
The official directory lists Metro Career Center at 4389 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and gives (619) 319-9675. Visitors can obtain information and start the process, but call to check whether your service needs an appointment; service may pause temporarily on the last Thursday of the month. For Employment Service complaints, EDD lists a representative assigned to Metro at the same address, with a separate phone number and email. For WIOA programme or equal-opportunity issues, consult the Workforce Partnership’s current procedure; a public review is not a substitute for a formal complaint.
Part of the San Diego Workforce Partnership and America’s Job Center network; free access to resources, guidance, intake and partners such as EDD, Job Corps and other organisations.
