About Oregon Opportunity Grant

The Oregon Opportunity Grant (OOG) is a state need-based grant for undergraduates attending eligible Oregon colleges and universities. Funding is limited; an SAI within the range does not guarantee an award after appropriations are exhausted.

OSAC says awards are made until funds run out, and the final 2026–27 cutoff was May 15, 2026. Awards may be prorated for part-time or part-year enrollment and are not offered for summer. The amount depends on an individual aid package and need; the agency cannot predict when funds will be exhausted. For 2027–28, FAFSA and ORSAA opened in October 2026: file promptly and check OSAC for the new SAI limit and any cutoff date. OOG consideration begins through FAFSA or ORSAA, and selected students receive an email. Correct application errors and confirm with your college that the award appears in your account.
