Ontario Community College Program
May reimburse tuition for up to two consecutive years for full-time students at a California public community college without another tuition-covering programme. Requires FAFSA/CADAA, eight service hours each term, and a 2.0 GPA; excludes books and living costs.
About Ontario Community College Program
The City of Ontario offers tuition reimbursement to residents attending a public California community college. It may cover tuition for up to two consecutive years for full-time students who do not receive CCPG or another programme that already covers tuition.
Participation requires annual FAFSA or CADAA, 12 units in fall and spring, eight service hours each semester with Promise Scholars, and at least a 2.0 GPA. Reimbursement covers tuition only; books, health fees, transportation, food, and housing remain the student’s responsibility. Ask the college how payment works while reimbursement is pending.
Residency needs clarification with the City: the qualifications section says one year, but the Residency section requires two. The City phone is 909-395-2000 and the programme lists CA_Supervisor@promisescholars.net. The Promise Scholars profile explains the partner organization supporting the programme.
Who it serves and what it can cover: May reimburse tuition for up to two consecutive years for full-time students at a California public community college without another tuition-covering programme. Requires FAFSA/CADAA, eight service hours each term, and a 2.0 GPA; excludes books and living costs.
How to apply or get help: The City lists 909-395-2000 and CA_Supervisor@promisescholars.net. Program pages conflict on one versus two years of residency; ask in writing before applying. For case-specific questions, contact the program or financial-aid office named on its official page.
