Odessa College Foundation Scholarships — becas institucionales por AwardSpring

Scholarships separate from Wrangler Promise, with award-specific rules for major, GPA, course load, residence, financial need, or experience. Fall/spring awards depend on available funding; the Foundation says it does not routinely offer summer scholarships.

About Odessa College Foundation Scholarships — becas institucionales por AwardSpring

Odessa College Foundation Scholarships are a different route from Wrangler Promise. The Foundation groups donor-, alumni-, business-, and institution-funded awards, each with its own criteria. Some favour a particular major; others consider residence, GPA, credit load, financial need, or personal circumstances. A list of scholarship names is therefore not a list of students who qualify: open each fund’s criteria in AwardSpring before counting on assistance.

The college asks students to complete a general AwardSpring application for fall and spring. The platform matches applicants to funds using academic and personal information; complete applications are considered according to available funding and, for some awards, in order of receipt. An AwardSpring account is created only after the student has enrolled in classes, and applicants should use their primary Odessa College email. Visiting students and dual-credit participants cannot submit the general Foundation application.

Deadlines differ by award. The site says opening dates and cutoffs are posted through AwardSpring; it notes that regular scholarships are awarded from June through August when applications arrive before deadlines. Post-award documents have semester windows: August 15–November 15 for fall and January 15–April 15 for spring. Missing a required document during its window can affect eligibility even if the general application was accepted.

Renewal conditions may include a thank-you letter, service, GPA, course load, major, and documentation. Receiving other aid can reduce or remove a Foundation award, so report changes to Financial Aid. If you already have Wrangler Promise, ask the college whether an outside scholarship covers expenses Promise excludes or changes its last-dollar calculation; do not assume every award stacks in full.

To begin, apply to Odessa College, enrol in classes, set up or recover AwardSpring access with your college account, and review the criteria for each fund. The office advises responding to notices on time and submitting PDFs when a fund requires them. The [Odessa College Foundation profile](data-profile="odessa-foundation-scholarships") links to current opportunities; the [Wrangler Promise profile](data-profile="wrangler-promise") helps compare that last-dollar award with scholarships that have separate criteria.
