Restaurant Daniel, modern French cuisine on the Upper East Side

Restaurant Daniel is the flagship establishment of Chef Daniel Boulud, open since 1993 on the Upper East Side of New York. It occupies the space of the former Mayfair Hotel on Park Avenue, which was the original site of Le Cirque, and presents itself as a restaurant of refined European cuisine with a top-tier cellar and attentive hospitality service.

A seasonal cuisine with European inspiration

The menu, modern and seasonal in character, relies on classic techniques and ingredients such as select meats, game, seafood, fruits, vegetables and foraged flavors from various origins. The culinary offering is led by Executive Chef Eddy Leroux and Executive Pastry Chef Katalina Diaz, with Shaun Velez as Corporate Pastry Chef.

Cellar and Champagne program

The restaurant's cellar, recognized with awards, includes wines from the Rhône and Burgundy, as well as an outstanding Champagne program. Erin Healy holds the position of Head Sommelier.

Team and management

In addition to Chef-Owner Daniel Boulud, the management team includes Brian Willoughby as General Manager, Karim Guedouar as Director of Operations and April Avila as Director of Private Dining.

Space and private events

The restaurant has an elegant space for private events, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations. The space configuration adapts to different group sizes and both the menus and the wine offerings can be tailored to each event. Information requests are made through an inquiry form.

Atmosphere and entry rules

Located on 65th Street at Park Avenue, the venue welcomes diners with a refined atmosphere. Formal or business attire is strongly recommended; athletic or leisure wear is not permitted, nor are shorts, sandals or ripped jeans. Baby strollers are also not allowed in the restaurant.
