History and origin

The company was founded in 1909 by publisher Condé Montrose Nast, after acquiring a New York weekly gazette called Vogue. Since then, according to its own account, it has become a benchmark of editorial quality.

For the 2025-2030 period, the company has defined new priorities: achieving net-zero emissions across its entire value chain, integrating recycled materials and circular economy principles, and ensuring supply chain integrity with fair labor practices. Among the milestones achieved between 2020 and 2025, the company highlights the certification of all paper used in magazine production, advances in energy efficiency in its offices and the elimination of most virgin plastic. Likewise, its titles do not include animal fur in editorial content or advertising, with defined exceptions for subsistence and indigenous practices.
