About Tennessee HOPE Scholarship
Tennessee HOPE Scholarship is state lottery-funded merit aid for students who meet an academic pathway and attend a participating college.
State guidance describes entry paths for Tennessee graduates, including at least a 3.0 high-school GPA or ACT composite 21/SAT combined 1060; separate rules apply to HiSET, GED, and nontraditional students. The FAFSA is the application for Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship programs. Check the rule for your cohort and graduation date because academic criteria and attempted-hour limits affect eligibility.
File the FAFSA each year and make sure your eligible institution is reported correctly. Renewal GPA is checked at attempted-hour milestones: 2.75 at 24 and 48 hours, then 3.0 at 72 and each multiple of 24; state guidance describes partial-award and regain provisions. Review your record with TSAC or campus aid, especially after transfer credits or enrollment changes.
