About L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami
L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami, Modern French cuisine with two Michelin stars
L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami is a Modern French restaurant located in the Miami Design District and operated by The Bastion Collection. The establishment presents itself as the first and only two-Michelin-star restaurant in South Florida and Miami, a distinction it says it retained in the 2026 Michelin Guide Florida.
The concept is the most recent incarnation of the vision created by the late Chef Joël Robuchon, first opened in Paris's Saint-Germain neighborhood in 2003 and, that same year, in Tokyo. The brand currently has ten distinct locations around the world; each stays true to its original Parisian roots while drawing inspiration from the city and neighborhood that hosts it, in this case the Miami Design District.
The name and the workshop philosophy
The term "Atelier" refers to a craftsman's workshop. The name thus underscores Chef Robuchon's hallmark: elevating the simplest dishes into something extraordinary through pristine ingredients, immaculate technique and abundant creativity. In Miami, the chef's protégés carry on that philosophy with a Modern French menu that combines signature dishes with ever-changing seasonal creations made with ingredients from top local and regional purveyors.
The counter facing the open kitchen
The venue's signature feature is its counter, where guests sit facing the open kitchen and can watch the creative process and interact with the chefs and service team. Chef Robuchon's original inspiration for this format was to meld Japan's interactive sushi counters and Spain's tapas-style service with his Modern French cuisine. L'Atelier Miami's counter has 34 seats and is designed to evoke warmth and conviviality within a fine dining experience.
Menus and offerings
The menu is built around a seasonal evolution, an à la carte selection and cocktails. The menu format lets guests compose their own experience: from an à la carte selection of small plates, appetizers and entrées to a four-course seasonal tasting menu with options for each course.
The site also listed a "Miami Spice Reserve" offering, with a three-course lunch for $95 on Fridays and Saturdays, and a four-course dinner for $155 Tuesday through Sunday. Reservations are handled through OpenTable, Resy and SevenRooms.
Team
The team brings together Robuchon protégés who carry on the brand's legacy while introducing dishes and ideas unique to L'Atelier Miami. They include Corporate Executive Chef James Friedberg, Executive Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone and Culinary Director Alain Verzeroli.
Private and in-home events
The restaurant offers bespoke culinary experiences for private events, both on and off-site, designed by a team of Michelin-starred talents. Information on pricing, availability and details is handled through The Bastion Collection's events email or via an inquiry form.
