The Landing Rooftop is a restaurant and bar located on the 11th floor of Hotel Melby in downtown Melbourne, Florida. The venue presents itself as the tallest rooftop in the area and offers panoramic views of the city, the river, and the ocean. Its culinary offering is based on elevated regional American comfort food made with locally sourced ingredients, complemented by a full bar of craft cocktails, cocktails on tap, a large selection of beers and wines, and specialty drinks created daily in-house.

The main menu is available to downtown patrons and guests of Hotel Melby. The menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as a dedicated brunch menu. On weekends, brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a special chef-curated menu that can be paired with bottomless mimosas or specialty cocktails. The beverage offering includes craft cocktails, cocktails on tap, a large selection of beers and wines, and specialty drinks created daily.

Events: Uncorked Wine Tasting Series

The Landing Rooftop hosts Uncorked, an elevated monthly wine tasting series. The first installment was announced for Thursday, September 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with an experience called The California Pour, featuring Trinchero Wine Estates. The offering paired four courses crafted specifically for the occasion with a curated selection of California wines. Seating was limited and reservations were required. The venue also maintains an events calendar with upcoming activities.

Executive Chef Alexis V. Martinez

The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Alexis V. Martinez, born in El Salvador and raised and trained in New York. His career began at local restaurants on Long Island and continued at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where he graduated in 1993 with an A.O.S. degree in culinary arts. After three years at the New York Marriott Marquis, he developed his career at establishments such as The Roslyn Claremont Hotel, New York Hilton Towers, Restaurant Kukochin at The Omni Berkshire Hotel, ONO Restaurant at The Hotel Gansevoort, The Roosevelt Hotel, The Westin New York at Times Square, Don Shula's Steak House NYC, Restaurant Repas, Michael Jordan's Steak NYC, and Rocking Horse NYC, among others, holding various chef positions. He has worked under chefs such as Andre Halston, Gerrand Doyle (New York Plaza Hotel), Uwe Toedter, Luc Dendievel, and David Walzog. In 2014 he moved to Florida to be close to his family and continue his career, with stints at The Sheraton Beach Resort and The Westin Beach Resort & Spa, where he was executive chef at Don Shula's Steak House in Fort Lauderdale. He currently leads the kitchen at The Landing, at Hotel Melby in Melbourne, Florida.

The restaurant is located on the 11th floor of Hotel Melby in downtown Melbourne, Florida. The area, described as the city's vibrant downtown district, is within walking distance of entertainment venues, art galleries, and boutique shops, and a short drive from the beach. The venue has also served as a setting for audiovisual productions: musician Daniel Jüde shot the music video for his track "Better Think Twice" on the rooftop of Hotel Melby.
