About Talent Incentive Program (TIP) Grant
TIP is institution-administered grant aid for Wisconsin students whose path to college is challenged by financial hardship or educational disadvantage.
HEAB targets Wisconsin residents with financial need and educational barriers who attend an approved institution at least half time. For a first award, campus nomination is decisive; continuing grants require renewed review of progress, need, and eligibility. No federal form guarantees an award: FAFSA begins the assessment, but the school recommends candidates to the state.
File FAFSA early, contact financial aid, and ask whether you can be nominated for TIP or referred to WEOP. Document financial and educational circumstances, and review your award package before accepting loans. Current recipients should confirm renewal dates and SAP each year; call HEAB at 608-267-2213 with program questions, while the college handles individual review.
Who it serves and what it can cover: Initial awards of roughly $600–$1,800; 2026–27 continuing awards from $250 to $1,800, for up to ten semesters.
