Austin Community College — Lockhart Center

Lockhart Center brought ACC to downtown Lockhart in 2026. The Ford Building at 303 W. San Antonio Street houses technical training in areas such as automotive, welding, HVAC, and plumbing. That matters for Caldwell County residents who previously travelled farther for public-college classes; programming is developing and should be checked by term.

ACC also schedules college-credit and early-college classes at Lockhart High School, 906 Center Street. That school location complements the technical training at the Ford Building; the catalog also lists general-education and transfer courses. The college announced the new center in January 2026.

The main published address is the Ford Building; ACC also lists classes at the high school and limited evening and Saturday activity depending on the schedule. Before driving, confirm the building, date, and class time. The district provides free parking at campuses and centers, subject to availability and signs; ask whether the high-school location has separate visitor instructions.
