Michael, one of the co-owners, began roasting for Origin Coffee in 2023 and works with small single-origin lots, developing roast profiles that highlight the natural flavors of each coffee.

The co-owners are Carolyn and Michael. Carolyn brings experience in community and hospitality, with a background in business and marketing from the University of Buffalo, and conceived the project as a "third place" for gathering around good food and ethically sourced coffee. Michael is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has worked in country restaurants and resort food and beverage operations; he handles ingredient sourcing, consistency, and daily operations, as well as roasting.
