Florida State College at Jacksonville — Cecil Center

Cecil Center specializes in aviation and commercial-vehicle driving for Jacksonville’s Westside and other western Duval communities. It is not a general-course site: its classrooms and training areas support aviation, maintenance, simulation, and driver instruction. Prospective students should ask the department about prerequisites, hands-on schedules, and equipment because offerings can vary by cohort.

Arrival requires an extra check. FSCJ’s current webpage lists 13550 FSCJ Cecil Drive; the downloadable map, revised in September 2025, identifies 18550 for Cecil Center and 13450 Lake Fretwell Street for aviation. The documents do not explain whether these numbers refer to different entrances or buildings. Before driving, confirm which address to use for your class, exam, or appointment.

The campus map identifies buildings and parking areas. The center accepts appointments on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, walk-ins on Wednesday, and is closed to visitors on Fridays.
