About Dropcurb
Dropcurb: curbside item pickup in the United States
Dropcurb is a bulky item and trash pickup service operating throughout the United States. Its approach centers on having the customer leave items outside at an accessible spot, and the company handles loading, transportation, and disposal. The service is designed for those who can move items themselves to the curb, driveway, side of the house, dumpster area, or a building's loading zone, and prefer not to pay for in-home carrying.
How the service works
The customer selects the items to be removed, sees the price online, and books a pickup date. The company states that bookings made before 2:00 p.m. in the time zone of the pickup address may qualify for same-day pickup. It is also possible to book in advance, including available weekend dates. No exact arrival time is required: pickup is scheduled for a full day and the customer receives a text message when the hauler is on the way. There is no need to be home if the items are outside and accessible. If the building limits the hours for putting items out, the company coordinates an estimated arrival time and a heads-up so the customer can set them out at the agreed time.
Payment is made online when confirming the booking, not after pickup. Available payment options are shown at checkout. The total price includes loading, transportation, and disposal, and is calculated based on the items and quantities selected. For multiple items, the highest first-item price applies once and the rest are charged as additional items. If items are added or changed, the price is adjusted.
What can be picked up
Dropcurb's catalog covers a wide variety of items, organized by category:
- Furniture: sofas, tables, chairs, and dressers.
- Beds and mattresses: mattresses, box springs, bases, and frames.
- Appliances: refrigerators, washers, dryers, and more.
- Bags, boxes, and small items: trash bags, cardboard, and small objects.
- Electronics: TVs, computers, and printers.
- Outdoor items: patio furniture, grills, and yard waste.
- Exercise and recreation equipment: treadmills, bikes, and weights.
- Home and other items: bins, fixtures, and household items.
The company also offers specific services such as sofa, mattress, furniture, appliance, TV, construction debris, electronic waste, exercise equipment, and general bulky trash removal.
Item preparation and special cases
Items must be outside and accessible, with a clear path. They do not need to be exactly at the curb: they can be placed in the driveway, at the side of the house, in the dumpster area, in an apartment loading zone, or another accessible outdoor spot. The company asks that small items be placed in bags or boxes and that large items be selected separately in the catalog. For a pile of small items, it is suggested to estimate how many trash bags it would fill and book that quantity as "trash bag." If there is a large item in the pile, it is selected separately so it is not counted twice. For heavy debris, oversized bags, or uncertain contents, a photo can be sent before booking so the company can assess the scope.
For trash can pickup, the customer must count the bags inside and outside the container, select "trash bag" with the quantity and date, and then add "trash can pickup" in the hauler instructions on the confirmation page. The can remains with the customer. If there are more bags than booked, the company sends a payment link to review and settle the additional balance.
Dropcurb does not carry items out of the home or down interior stairs. If the customer needs that service, it suggests that full-service pickup may be a better fit. The company assigns the vehicle and a one- to two-person team based on the job. For larger pickups, it sends a larger vehicle and a second hauler when needed.
Communication and follow-up
The process includes confirmation at booking, a heads-up before arrival, and photos when the job is done. The customer can see the pickup photos once completed. The company also publishes customer reviews on Google and Trustpilot, with a 5.0 out of 5 rating based on more than 200 Google reviews and 4.9 out of 5 with 224 Trustpilot reviews, according to counts verified in September 2026.
