Austin Community College — Elgin Campus

Elgin Campus brings part of its teaching onto the land: the college maintains a student farm and greenhouse on its 17-acre site. Those facilities support sustainable agriculture and agricultural entrepreneurship alongside veterinary technology. For students seeking a nearby option, the campus combines transfer coursework with career training tied to the rural setting of Bastrop County.

Elgin Early College High School shares the property, but its high-school classes and ACC courses follow separate schedules and processes. The student farm and greenhouse bring hands-on learning to sustainable agriculture and agricultural entrepreneurship, alongside veterinary technology and transfer coursework.

At 1501 W. U.S. Highway 290, the campus provides ACC parking free of charge on a first-come basis and subject to posted signs. Its student farm, greenhouse, and classrooms give this location a distinctive focus on agriculture and applied learning.
