Longman & Eagle
Contemporary inn in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, combining a restaurant, whiskey bar, and six overnight rooms, with a focus on local and sustainable produce.
About Longman & Eagle
Longman & Eagle, a contemporary inn in Logan Square
Longman & Eagle presents itself as a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Chicago inn: an establishment that brings together options for drinking, eating, and sleeping under one roof. It is located in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago (United States) and describes itself as a Chicago tradition.
The project is a collaboration between Cody Hudson, Robert McAdams, and Peter Creig Toalson of Land and Sea Dept., and Bruce Finkelman of 16" on Center.
Local and sustainable produce cuisine
The food offerings are available all day and maintain a longstanding ethos of prioritizing local and sustainable produce and meat, reflected in menus the company describes as dynamic.
Six rooms for overnight stays
The establishment has six rooms available for overnight stays. The company describes them as casual yet considered offerings that seasoned travelers will appreciate.
Whiskey at the heart of the concept
The company places whiskey drinking at the center of its identity and links it to the origins of hospitality in Chicago, where the inn was the establishment that offered drinking, eating, and sleeping options. On Mondays, it offers special prices on whiskey shots and other drinks.
Off Site Bar and the OSBeach pop-up
On the Longman & Eagle grounds, behind and east of the restaurant, is the Off Site Bar (OSB), with its own outdoor patio. The company indicated that OSBeach occupied that space, a tropical-themed pop-up with reworked cocktails—including Daiquiris, Mai Tais, Painkillers, and Zombies—Red Stripe beer, and a curated selection of fine rums available by the pour. Its snack menu draws on tropical flavors with local ingredients and regional traditions, as well as a few house classics. OSBeach's hours for snacks and drinks were Friday through Monday, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
