Events and experiences

The estate hosts events throughout the year. The calendar includes offerings such as Grazing & Tasting, with grazing boards, Springhill wines, and live acoustic music on the porch; Women's Wellness Weekend, a wellness retreat for women with treatments and restful spaces; and Words with Wine, a quiet evening for reading accompanied by a glass of wine, with dinner available and RSVPs recommended.

The property is also offered as a venue for celebrations and has getaway packages and add-ons. Gift certificates can be purchased for stays or packages; gift cards for wine purchases are available at the winery.

The Daugherty family and the team

Jeff and June Daugherty took on the role of innkeepers in September 2020, continuing a family project on the historic estate. June brings her 30 years of experience at the YMCA of Greater Louisville–Bullitt County Family Branch, while Jeff brings the craftsmanship and creativity of a decade running Cornerstone Carpentry & Painting, Inc. The family, with eight children and seven grandchildren, is actively involved in the hospitality of the establishment.

Their daughter Mallory Daugherty, a 2016 graduate of Sullivan University's Baking and Pastry program, runs the winery, leads tastings, makes daily sweets, prepares romantic dinners for couples, and collaborates with her father on winemaking. The site describes Springhill's wines as award-winning.
