About HOPE Career Grant

This state aid targets short-term training in strategic careers, but only for designated programs and students already eligible for HOPE or Zell Grant.

The 2026–27 regulation applies HOPE Grant eligibility rules and requires enrollment in an approved diploma or certificate program listed for HOPE Career Grant. Check citizenship/residency, HOPE Grant GPA and progress, eligible institution, and course load. Commercial truck-driving pathways have separate treatment and award amounts.

File FAFSA or the state application that applies and check GSFC’s current list for your certificate. Contact the college financial-aid office before enrolling to confirm the institution processes HOPE Career Grant, which credit hours count, and which costs are excluded. The college determines final eligibility and reports course load each term.
