Cruise By, an independent cruise booking agency

Cruise By is an independent travel agency dedicated to cruise bookings. It presents itself as a small business offering a personalised and efficient service, with access to the main cruise lines, so that customers can opt for a specific voyage or receive advice to choose one.

Booking and advisory service

The agency manages cruise bookings and offers direct support to answer questions or request a quote. According to its approach, customers can specify a particular departure or ask for help selecting the most suitable one. The company states it has access to all the usual cruise lines.

Team profile and experience

The team describes itself as cruise enthusiasts, with twenty voyages completed, and brings together thirty years of combined experience in the retail, hospitality and personal care sectors. The agency also states that it has passed the highest level of knowledge accreditation for Virgin Voyages and NCL.

Prices and booking protection

The company maintains that agencies usually offer lower prices than booking direct, due to the commission structure, which allows agents to adjust their rates. It also declares that it is fully protected and refers to the accreditations published on its website.

ATOL protection and conditions

Cruise By operates as a trading name of The JLT Group, which holds ATOL protection (12564). The company warns that some flights and flight-inclusive packages on its website are covered by the ATOL scheme, but not all travel services listed are. It states that customers must confirm what protection applies to their booking and that, without an ATOL Certificate, the booking will not be covered by that scheme; if the certificate does not include all parts of the trip, those parts will not be protected either.

Contact and customer service channels

The agency handles enquiries and quote requests by phone, email and instant messaging. It has a contact form on its website to send enquiries and attachments.
