Residency is defined as the country where the customer ordinarily and permanently resides for more than six months of the year, pays tax or is registered with a medical practitioner.

For residents in the Republic of Ireland, the company directs them to its Questor Ireland site. For all other residents outside the United Kingdom, it directs them to its sister company Riverside Malta, which is authorised to sell policies to EU residents and to customers outside the EU who hire vehicles in Europe.

Questor Insurance is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Its customers are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Scheme. The company uses web encryption and payment solutions to protect transactions.
