About Caravan Restaurants & Coffee Roasters

Caravan connects coffee culture with a table that can begin at breakfast and continue through dinner. Laura, Miles, and Chris met while working in restaurants in New Zealand and brought a shared idea of food, coffee, and hospitality to London. The first location opened in early 2010 on Exmouth Market; the business subsequently expanded into other London neighborhoods and Manchester.

The cooking draws on travel, combining flavors from different places with seasonal ingredients. Restaurants offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, with dishes also designed for sharing. Private gathering spaces extend a table with friends into a seated meal or group celebration. Each location’s menus distinguish its services and drinks.

Coffee has its own production and range. Daily describes hazelnut, caramel, and chocolate notes; House, stone fruit, berries, and honeycomb; Vista, muscovado sugar, vanilla, nougat, and forest fruits. Decaf adds references to chocolate brownie, maple syrup, and poached pear. These are tasting descriptions, alongside single origins and rotating roaster selections.

Home and gift subscriptions extend bean purchases, while pods and brewing equipment broaden the catalog. Coffee School and roastery tours introduce coffee preparation to people wanting to learn; SCA courses and wholesale supply have dedicated sections. A program focused on female coffee producers is part of Caravan’s stated work connecting with coffee origins.

London locations span different settings. Exmouth Market: 11–13 Exmouth Market, London EC1R 4QD; King’s Cross: 1 Granary Square, London N1C 4AA; Fitzrovia: 152 Great Portland Street, London W1W 6AJ. These three addresses connect the project’s beginnings with other areas of the city.

City: 22 Bloomberg Arcade, London EC4N 8AR; Canary Wharf: Reuters Plaza, London E14 5AJ; Covent Garden: 30–35 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5RH; London Bridge: 30 Great Guildford Street, London SE1 0HS. Vardo Chelsea is at 9 Duke of York Square, London SW3 4LY and is listed within the same group.

The Manchester location is at 6 Goods Yard Street, Manchester M3 3BG. The locations page also announces Caravan Southbank, at Southbank Centre Square, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX, as coming soon; it is not yet presented as an open restaurant. That distinction matters when choosing a location to reserve.

Caravan’s story retains the connection between restaurant and roaster: sitting down for a meal, ordering a flat white, buying a bag for home, or learning to brew coffee are activities within the same business. Its range of locations offers a choice of neighborhood and occasion, while coffee and travel-inspired menus connect the experience across London and Manchester.
