About Da Terra

Da Terra, fine dining with Brazilian and Italian roots in London

Da Terra is a two-Michelin-star restaurant located inside the Edwardian Town Hall Hotel in London. Its name alludes to roots and the relationship with the land, nature, knowledge and people. The venue has an elegant, contemporary look and includes a pre-dinner lounge.

Chef and owner Rafael Cagali, of Brazilian and Italian origin, began his career in London at the age of 21. He later worked in Italy under chef Stefano Baiocco at A Villa Feltrinelli for more than three years, and then in Spain with chefs Quique Dacosta and Martin Berasategui. He later returned to England to join Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck and the opening of Fera at Claridges. He led Aulis at Fera alongside Simon Rogan as head chef. In January 2019 he opened Da Terra, which earned its first Michelin star in eight months and its second in 2021.

Culinary offering

Da Terra's cuisine is rooted in Brazilian and Italian traditions and in Cagali's international experience. The intricately presented dishes are described as a symphony of flavours, deeply personal and comforting, and reflect the chef's experimental style. The full experience takes an average of three hours; the three-course lunch menu, two hours.

The restaurant's offering includes a tasting menu for £275, a short tasting menu available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings for £190, and a three-course set lunch menu from Thursday to Saturday for £110. The wine and drinks selection is designed to highlight each dish, with a pairing for £160. All prices are subject to change.
