About Cornus

Cornus, Michelin-starred fine dining in Belgravia

Cornus is a fine dining restaurant located in Eccleston Yards, in the London neighbourhood of Belgravia. It opened in 2024 and has earned a Michelin star. Its offering combines classical technique with modern, seasonal cooking, and it presents itself as a gastronomic destination in central London.

The chef and the cuisine

Michelin-starred chef Gary Foulkes is at the helm of the kitchen. His style is described as modern yet rooted in classical technique, with dishes built on carefully selected seasonal ingredients. Pastry is overseen by Kelly Cullen, and the wine programme is led by Melania Battiston, who selects wines and vintages from vineyards around the world.

The food offering is structured across several menus: a set lunch menu, an à la carte menu, a tasting menu and a vegetarian tasting menu. The restaurant states that its menus are designed to highlight the excellence of the produce.

Spaces and dining experiences

The restaurant occupies a light-filled space on the rooftop of Eccleston Yards. The main dining room offers the full experience, with Gary Foulkes' seasonal menu and wine pairings. It also offers several alternatives:

  • Counter: a more immediate and immersive experience, designed for solo diners or for those who prefer to watch the kitchen at work up close.
  • Terrace: an outdoor option in a sheltered, peaceful setting, suitable for long lunches and dinners on warm evenings.
  • Bar: a space for house-made cocktails, conceived as a starting or finishing point for the visit.
  • Private room: reserved for business dinners, celebrations or private events, with bespoke menus and dedicated service.

The venue also accepts full buyouts of the space for larger events.

Private room and events

The private room is located a five-minute walk from London Victoria. It has floor-to-ceiling windows and interiors in honey tones. The rooftop space can accommodate up to 75 guests and is offered for corporate events, client dinners, wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, product launches, seasonal parties and intimate meals with tailored menus. The events team works with the client to define the menu, atmosphere and experience.

Team and ownership

Cornus is owned by David O’Connor and Joe Mercer Nairne. David O’Connor leads the front of house with a hospitality team, while Barnaby Lewis serves as head sommelier and is responsible for the wine list. The front of house experience is presented as a central part of the offering, with personalised attention and the ability to anticipate the diner's needs.
