About Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester
Three-Michelin-starred French haute cuisine in Mayfair
Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is a contemporary French cuisine restaurant located in The Dorchester hotel on Park Lane, in London's Mayfair district, overlooking Hyde Park. The establishment has held three Michelin stars since 2010 and was renovated in January 2020. Its offering combines French haute cuisine technique with a contemporary approach, in a modern, light and elegantly informal setting.
A French cuisine interpreted in London
The restaurant's cuisine is defined by its contemporary French style, with fresh flavours and a light touch that reflects its London location. The culinary direction is led by Chef Patron Jean-Philippe Blondet, who interprets Alain Ducasse's approach using seasonal produce from British and French suppliers, selected at its peak. French technique, with particular attention to sauces, shapes a menu featuring dishes such as hand-dived scallop with citrus beurre blanc and Kristal caviar; lobster medallion with chicken quenelle and Périgord truffle and homemade semolina pasta; and the Baba like in 'Monte-Carlo'.
Team and management
The restaurant has a team largely made up of professionals who have worked with Alain Ducasse for years. Marion Pépin has been Restaurant Director since February 2023, after joining in 2022 as Assistant Restaurant Director. Her career includes time at Le Meurice Alain Ducasse in Paris and at Core in London. Jean-Philippe Blondet, born in Nice, has worked alongside Alain Ducasse for more than a decade and has developed his career in establishments such as Spoon at Sanderson in London, Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse at the Hôtel de Paris in Monaco and Spoon in Hong Kong. He joined Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in September 2013 as sous-chef and took on the role of Executive Chef in January 2016.
Spaces and front-of-house experience
The restaurant's design is by the duo Jouin Manku, who have collaborated on other Ducasse projects in Paris, Monaco and Las Vegas. The interior is inspired by the vegetation of Hyde Park and the character of Mayfair, and combines natural materials such as leather, wood and fabrics with a palette of greens and charcoal grey, atmospheric lighting and brass details. Notable features include walls covered with thousands of silk buttons in different shades of green. The most prominent space is the Table Lumière, a semi-private room surrounded by 4,500 fibre optics descending from the ceiling, with Hermès tableware, Puiforcat cutlery and Saint-Louis glassware.
Menus, experiences and service
The culinary offering is complemented by wine pairings selected by the team. The restaurant offers experiences such as the chef's tasting menu and fine dining in the Table Lumière, and has gift certificates covering various options. The front-of-house operates with personalised, warm service, and each dish is presented at the table with care. The establishment also offers the possibility of booking spaces for private dining.

The restaurant is located in The Dorchester, owned by Dorchester Collection, on Park Lane in the heart of Mayfair. The hotel has 250 rooms and suites, including three penthouse suites, many with extensive views over Hyde Park.
