About Arthur Online
Arthur Online, cloud-based software for property management
Arthur Online is a web-based property management platform, complemented by mobile apps for the different parties involved. The company presents itself as a comprehensive solution for locating and managing occupants, controlling rents and expenses, and coordinating the daily operations of property portfolios. Its offering is structured into modules that range from finances and accounting to document management and workflows.
Functional modules of the platform
The system organises its features into several main areas:
- Financials & Reporting: centralises the property's financial and reporting data in a single environment.
- Task Management: tools to organise and track operational tasks.
- Stakeholder Management: connection with landlords, tenants and other parties through mobile apps.
- Occupancy Management: covers the occupancy process from start to finish.
- Property Management: adapted to different types of properties, from commercial and residential to block management.
- Document Management: storage and control of documents in a secure space.
- Workflow Management: tools to streamline and automate processes.
Solutions by client type
Arthur Online segments its offering according to the user profile. For letting agents, it proposes the automation of internal processes in order to save time. For landlords who manage their own properties, it offers an end-to-end solution that reduces the operational burden. In the field of student housing, it is presented as a tool adapted to the needs of occupants in that segment. For social housing, it incorporates features for tracking occupancies, managing voids and ensuring compliance.
Automation and financial management
The company highlights its automation engine, which makes it possible to systemise workflows and generate dynamic reports. Users can start from automation templates or customise their own processes. In the financial area, the platform integrates a dedicated console that connects with cloud accounting software, and allows managing rents and generating statements for occupants and property owners. Among the integrations mentioned is Xero, as well as other online tools on the market.
Apps for each party involved
Arthur Online claims to be the only property management platform on the market with dedicated apps for all parties involved. Property managers can check their portfolio and complete tasks from anywhere; occupants can report maintenance issues, sign documents and manage rent payments; contractors access the information needed to complete jobs; and property owners receive regular updates about their properties.
Company history and evolution
The idea for Arthur came about in 2012, when Marc and Rochelle Trup, who managed their own property portfolios, were looking for a more efficient way to consolidate the different tasks associated with property management. After meeting with David Cummin, they decided to develop the platform full time. Technical development was led by David Cummin together with Darren Moore, an expert in software development.
In 2015, the company opened its doors and launched the apps for the different parties involved, as well as a beta version of the system for family, friends and a close network. That year it reached 10,000 units managed. In 2016, after the success of the beta, the full launch took place and the company closed its first seed funding round, while beginning its integration with the accounting software Xero. In 2017, with a second seed round, the first full-time employees joined and integrations were added with platforms such as Rightmove, Zoopla and StuRents. That year it received the ProTech Company of the Year award from News on the Block and the Technology Supplier of the Year award from The Negotiator.
In 2018, the company moved its headquarters to new offices in London, launched updated versions of the apps for property owners and tenants and reached 60,000 units managed. It also completely rewrote its API to facilitate integration with other programs. In December 2020, Arthur joined the Aareon group, a provider of digital solutions for the social housing sector in the United Kingdom. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the platform incorporated tools such as COVID/vulnerability profiles to help stakeholders adapt and work remotely. In 2021, with new financial backing, it launched a fully integrated live bank feed, expanded its London office and welcomed Tilt Property Software, a company with experience in the UK and Irish property market.
Platform scale
According to data shown by the company itself, the platform has accumulated more than 32,000 tasks completed, more than 200,000 registered users and more than 145,000 units listed, with a presence in thousands of homes across the United Kingdom.
