About MyPashmina

MyPashmina: handmade cashmere pashminas from Nepal

MyPashmina is a British online shop selling pashminas, shawls and scarves in cashmere and silk. The company has been operating since 2002 and ships its products from near Cambridge. Its items are handmade in Nepal, in Kathmandu, by artisans with whom the company has worked for years. The firm presents itself as a business established in 2002 with more than 1,200 customer reviews and an average rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Classic pashmina collection

The main collection is built around classic pashminas made from a blend of 70% cashmere and 30% silk, with a two-ply weave and hand-twisted tassels. They are available in five widths: scarf 30 × 150 cm, large scarf 45 × 200 cm, medium stole 55 × 200 cm, stole 70 × 200 cm and shawl 90 × 200 cm. The company also sells 100% cashmere versions, described as softer and lighter, in four of those sizes (except the 55 cm one). In addition, it has a line of decorative weaves including the Angelweave stole, ring shawls, ring stoles, Swarovski crystal, beaded, jacquard, jacquard water, reversible water, designer, shaded, gingham, patterned, striped, double ikat, herringbone, open fringe, spotted, frilled edge shawl and 4ply wavy shawl. It also offers basketweave blankets, 140 × 180 cm and 700 grams of pure cashmere.

Knitwear and accessories

The company expands its range with cashmere knitwear for women, such as round-neck jumpers, V-necks, hoodies, grandad shirts, round-neck cardigans, V-neck cardigans and long cardigans. For children and babies it sells children's knitwear and baby blankets. Accessories include scarves, hats, gloves, wristwarmers, throat warmers, hot water bottle covers and baby blankets. Some of these pieces are advertised as suitable for men.

Colours and bespoke

The shop offers dozens of colours in stock for the classic sizes, and any colour not available can be dyed to order. To make choosing easier, MyPashmina sells a swatchbook of 100 colours in the form of swatches about 5 × 5 cm, cut from grade B fabric (70% cashmere, 30% silk), with a rougher texture than a finished pashmina. The cost of the swatchbook is fully refunded if returned within one year. The company also offers a bespoke service: it can make pashminas in any colour, size and finish, with tassels, an open end or a hemmed edge, at no extra charge. The catalogue showed an order deadline of 5 October for estimated delivery by 2 November.

Delivery, returns and payment methods

MyPashmina offers free UK delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 48, with same-day dispatch if the order is placed before 1pm on a working day. At checkout, Tracked 24 and international shipping options are offered. The company states it holds 541 pieces in stock in the UK ready to ship. It accepts returns within 30 days for standard items, even if the colour is not to your liking; bespoke pieces have their own terms. Accepted payment methods include PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay, with PayPal Buyer Protection and SSL encrypted payment. The shop also accepts Bitcoin.

Customer service and resources

Customer service is available Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm UK time.
