Labor Mediation in Castilla y León

Servicio Regional de Relaciones Laborales de Castilla y León (SERLA) is a public agency based in Valladolid. It processes conciliation and mediation in individual and collective labor disputes and provides arbitration throughout the autonomous community of Castilla y León.

Services and Proceedings

  • Individual disputes: filing requests and processing conciliation proceedings.
  • Collective disputes: online filing through the website and case management.
  • Arbitration: labor arbitration service.
  • Statistics: quarterly, provincial, monthly, and weekly reports on conciliation activity.

How Conciliation Appointments Work

In-person conciliation meetings are limited to the applicant, the other party, and, when applicable, their legal representative. Participants are expected to arrive on time. If either party has not appeared within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, SERLA records that the meeting could not be held or that the request was not submitted, as applicable. Entry to the hearing room is not allowed before the scheduled time.

Proceedings Calendar

The website has a monthly and annual calendar of proceedings, showing scheduled cases, their status, and planned meetings. Case codes include the province, such as VA for Valladolid, LE for León, BU for Burgos, SA for Salamanca, ZA for Zamora, P for Palencia, SO for Soria, AV for Ávila, and SG for Segovia, along with the type of dispute.
