About Verisure
Connected alarms for homes and businesses
Verisure is an alarm and security systems company operating in Spain as Securitas Direct España, S.A.U. It offers alarm systems for homes and businesses, connected around the clock to a monitoring center that the company describes as Europe's largest and most advanced. The service combines detection, deterrence, and control devices with responses from trained operators.
How the system responds to an intrusion
Installed devices connect the property to the alarm monitoring center. When a risk signal comes in, specialists verify what happened and follow the relevant protocol, which may include notifying police or emergency services. The company says its experts respond in under 20 seconds and customers can control the system through the My Verisure app.
The protection process is described in five steps: reinforce the main entrance with a smart lock; detect attempted entry, impacts, or vibration with door and window sensors; use AI cameras to distinguish people, animals, and objects; initiate a response through the monitoring center; and notify police once an intrusion is confirmed.
Security equipment
The product line includes access, detection, video monitoring, and deterrence equipment:
- Smart lock: a high-security cylinder with anti-bumping, anti-pull, anti-drill, and anti-pick protections, plus tampering alerts.
- Entry sensors: installed on doors and windows to detect opening, impacts, and vibration.
- Cameras: indoor and outdoor models with Full HD resolution, night vision, and AI that distinguishes animals from people. The Arlo Security outdoor camera and Arlo Security Pro indoor camera are included in the offering.
- Video detectors and perimeter detector: send image alerts to the monitoring center for verification.
- Fire detector: detects smoke and sends an alert to the monitoring center; it includes a high-power siren.
- Hold-up button: triggers a silent alert to the monitoring center, which notifies police. In the Basque Country and Catalonia, the signal must be verified by audio or image before law enforcement is notified.
- Control panel: arms and disarms the alarm, provides an SOS button, and connects customers with security specialists.
- Warning sign: indicates that the home is protected by Verisure 24/7.
- ZeroVision: after a confirmed intrusion, it blocks the intruder's visibility to prevent theft and drive the person out while police are on the way.
