About Museum of Science and the Cosmos
The Museum of Science and the Cosmos invites visitors to take part: its galleries encourage them to test, observe and understand ideas from the universe, physics and the human body. Tenerife’s Autonomous Museums and Centers organization highlights interactive experiences, a planetarium and Microcosmos, a space for younger visitors.
The official site maintains an agenda of workshops and family activities. In 2026 it features “Oler para creer” (“Smell to Believe”), a temporary exhibition announced from June 26, 2026, through June 26, 2027. Google Maps reviews mention the entertaining format, hands-on modules and helpful floor staff; the content rewards a visit at an unhurried pace rather than a quick walk through a conventional gallery.
The published general ticket is five euros, with a reduced rate for Canary Islands residents and a separate planetarium ticket. The permanent exhibition has free entry for a period on Fridays and Saturdays. The museum opens on Sundays and holidays but closes on selected Christmas dates and Carnival Tuesday. Check or book planetarium sessions in advance; their schedule is not identical to the gallery hours.
The museum is on Avenida de Los Menceyes, a short distance from the urban center. Google Maps and the museum list wheelchair access. Its official website brings together the calendar, ticket prices and visitor conditions.
