Anaga Rural Park Visitor Centre

The Anaga Rural Park Interpretation Center at Cruz del Carmen is a useful stop before exploring one of Tenerife’s best-known landscapes. La Laguna’s tourism office says the center has a permanent exhibition and audiovisual presentation about the park, along with information on trails starting nearby.

For visitors without a route in mind, the center provides context before the walk: it helps place the paths, forest and protected area, and allows visitors to ask which route suits the time available and the group’s experience. Google Maps comments praise the staff guidance and scenery; they also note that parking can be difficult when the area is busy.

The municipal tourism website publishes seasonal hours: it stays open later from October to June and closes earlier in summer and at Christmas. Google Maps showed a 3 p.m. close on Sep 29, 2026, consistent with the summer schedule. The center closes on specific Christmas dates. Check the hours before traveling up the Las Mercedes road.
