Restaurante d´Berto is a seafood restaurant located in O Grove, in the region of the Rías Baixas, near Sanxenxo. Its proposal focuses on the product of the Galician coast, of season, selected for its quality and for a size that the house presents as sign of identity. The kitchen seeks naturalness in the preparation and presentation, without embellishment that alter the taste of the product.

The venue and its staging

The establishment is presided over by an aquarium with large specimens visible from the street. Inside, a cold room allows you to observe the fish and seafood of the day, and a wine cellar with more than 300 references receives customers.

Forms of preparation

The seafood and fish are cooked on the griddle, over the grill, steamed and stewed. The house points out that these techniques allow to reach an unusual point of perfection in this type of product.

Recognition

According to the restaurant's own presentation, it was named Best Seafood and Fish Restaurant 2014 in the framework of Madrid Fusion.

Raw materials and menus

The raw material is described as fresh, natural and sourced from nearby waters, and is the basis of the kitchen and the new menus offered by the establishment.

Selection of wines

The wine list brings together more than 250 national and some foreign references, with a special presence of the Champagne region, as well as a wide range of spirits. The house pays particular attention to Galician wines, where large and prestigious wineries live together with wines from “garage” wineries of meager productions.

Timetable and reservations

The restaurant is closed from 25 May to 2 June. Sunday to Thursday opens at noon, with closing on Tuesdays; the cooking hours are from 13:00 to 16:15 and the closing hours at 6:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday the cooking hours are from 13:00 to 16:00 h, with closing at 6:00 p.m., and dinners are served from 20:00 to 21:45 h, with closing at 00:00 h.
