Listening and immediate support
Fundació Ajuda i Esperança is a nonprofit with canonical status, established on November 28, 1986. It supports people in need through communication, guidance, and immediate-response services. Its best-known service is Telèfon de l'Esperança, a helpline offering active listening and emotional support.
Support lines and services
The foundation operates several free, anonymous support lines and channels:

In 2021, Telèfon de l'Esperança and Telèfon de Prevenció del Suïcidi together handled 48,893 calls related to emotional crises. The foundation's Observatory of Hope (OBE) studies these issues through a gender and youth lens in collaboration with Fundación “la Caixa.”
Recognition
Telèfon de Prevenció del Suïcidi received the 2021 EU Health Award from the European Commission, recognizing it as a pioneering service in Spain.
Volunteering and donations
Volunteers are central to the foundation's work and receive specialized training in active listening, companionship, and emotional guidance.
