The grill is presented as a tool inherited from the transoceanic expeditions of the sixteenth century, when it was used to grill provisions on board, and that eventually made its way ashore as a cooking tool.

Cataria, the extension in Sancti Petri

Elkano has extended its approach to fire to Cataria, in Sancti Petri (Cádiz), following the example of Juan Sebastián de Elcano. The restaurant works with the same essence of Getaria's original Getaria restaurant and seeks to reflect the culinary landscape of its surroundings, through native species and the work of the fishermen of the area.
