Embutidos Entrepeñas is a family business in Geras de Gordón, in the province of León. For more than 60 years and across four generations, it has produced and sold artisanal cured meats. Its factory sits at an elevation of 1,200 meters, where the company uses the area's long, dry winters for natural curing.

Products

The catalog focuses on traditional cured meats from León, especially Cecina de León, a protected geographical indication (PGI), and Chorizo de León, also known as Chorizo de Geras. Products include:

Family history and restaurant

The company traces its beginnings to 1948, when Federico Ordóñez Muñiz took over a small general store in Geras de Gordón that his mother, Bernarda Muñiz, had run. Alongside the cured-meat factory, the family business includes a restaurant in the same town, where Rosi took charge of the kitchen at a young age and has continued to prepare traditional recipes.

The company has taken part in international food-industry shows, including Alimentaria Barcelona 2024, Salón Gourmets Madrid 2024, and SIAL Paris 2024.
