Castell Son Claret is a luxury boutique hotel located in a 19th-century castle, in the municipality of Es Capdellà, Mallorca. It sits on a private estate of 132 hectares, in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and presents itself as a haven of peace and elegance about a 25-minute drive from Palma. It is part of The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) and features a loyalty program of its own, Leaders Club.

Gastronomy: Sa Clastra and Olivera

The gastronomic proposal revolves around two restaurants and two bar spaces. Sa Clastra is the Michelin starred restaurant serving fine dining, inspired by the history, landscape and flavors of Mallorca; its menu is organized around the winds that have marked the history of the island, uniting tradition, creativity and local produce. Olivera is the Mediterranean restaurant, with seasonal cuisine and locally sourced produce, including the own organic garden, and overlooking the Serra de Tramuntana. Pool Bar offers refreshing cocktails and light dishes next to the pool and gardens, while Castell Bar offers signature cocktails and a selection of wines in an intimate setting.

Spa and wellness

Bellesa de Claret Spa is the wellness space of the hotel, dedicated to massages and Mediterranean relaxation in the surroundings of the Serra de Tramuntana. The spa is presented as an exclusive refuge within the complex.

Events, weddings and celebrations

The hotel offers versatile spaces for private events and celebrations, with panoramic views of the Serra de Tramuntana. The proposals include weddings with complete privacy, meetings, conferences, incentives and company events, as well as outdoor opera galas.

The estate and its surroundings allow activities such as hiking, cycling and electric mountain biking, as well as a beach club. The hotel is located in Es Capdellà, in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Sustainability and local commitment

The hotel has an organic garden that supplies its restaurants with fresh and organic ingredients, and collaborates with the local ESMENT foundation to promote social inclusion and employment of people with disabilities. In the energy field, it has expanded its solar installation with a 50 kW inverter and 133 photovoltaic panels of 550 W each, which allows generating more than 99.55 MWh of renewable energy per year and avoiding the emission of 45.5 tons of CO2 per year. It has also installed a multipurpose heat pump capable of producing cold and heat simultaneously, and a water-water heat pump (hydrothermia) for the production of domestic hot water, decarbonizing the boiler room. These actions have been funded by Next Generation EU funds within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and include the installation of smart water and electricity meters, an energy monitoring system and a plan for the reduction of food waste and waste management developed together with NexBiolina, supported by a grant of 30,329,78 EUR under the de minimis program for projects of energy efficiency and circular economy in tourist establishments.

Awards and guest ratings

The restaurant Sa Clastra features a Michelin star. On travel platforms, the hotel records a rating of 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor and 9.3 out of 10 on Booking.com. The offer includes promotional rates, such as an advance booking with 15% discount and breakfast included, and another one with breakfast included, with prices that the site showed from €298 and €340 per night, respectively.
