What elpizzero is

elpizzero is a Spanish online food-ordering platform presented as an alternative to large delivery apps. It does not charge the restaurant a commission on each order: the menu price is the amount paid by the customer and received by the restaurant. A fixed monthly restaurant fee supports the platform instead of a percentage of sales.

How customers use it

The service runs in a web browser without requiring an app. Customers select a restaurant, view its menu, specials, hours and delivery area, and choose delivery, pickup or table service. Payment is available online by card or in cash on receipt. The order goes directly to the restaurant, and the customer receives the restaurant's phone number for problems.

Coverage and restaurants

When the information was collected, Pizzería La Fontana in Cox, Alicante, was the only participating restaurant. Its 88 items were tagged as Italian, burgers, vegetarian, pastry and ice cream. Listed delivery areas included Cox for €1 and 20 minutes, Granja de Rocamora for €1 and 30 minutes, Callosa de Segura for €2 and 35 minutes, San Fernando Cox for €2 and 40 minutes, plus one unspecified area. The stated minimum order was €5. The company says restaurants are added one at a time.
